Wendy’s Wish

Wendy’s wish was to visit St. Marys Church in West Moors with Companion Elizabeth and spend time singing, reading scripture, and praying.

Wendy watches the service from St. Marys every Sunday morning online at 10am from her laptop in her room but she hasn’t visited the church for many years. It was a hot day, but Wendy enjoyed the 5-minute walk in her wheelchair to the church.

It was a lovely hour in the church, chatting about the past and Wendy’s involvement with her own church. They made their way back to Brook View with one final photographic opportunity at the side of the beautiful white jasmine by the front door. Wendy was so pleased to have had this opportunity and felt very uplifted after the visit.
