West Moors Cheque Presentation

Companion Rebecca went to meet Ray Hilton Garner, The chair of West Moors Youth Group, Brook View’s charity for 2022.

On a very wet and soggy evening Rebecca presented them with a cheque for £689.71p. This was all of the proceeds from fund raising that took place throughout the year. This included the Christmas craft stall held at St Mary’s Church and raffles and collections from resident families, staff, and visitors. Youth Leader Louise Speer and her son William were also there ready to receive the cheque. The Youth group supports all the children in the local community with a safe and welcoming place to meet with friends or play ball games in a designated sports hall. The centre also sports a pool, space hockey and football table; as well as an Interactive games room and chill out room for anyone needing some time to chill. Ray promised to come to Brook View to thank the Residents himself as a bout of bad weather had meant Rebecca had to go on her own for the presentation. We look forward to Ray popping in to say hi to all at Brook View!
