West Moors’ Christmas Tree Festival

4 December 2024

Every year, our local church holds a Christmas Tree Festival. This week, residents visited to see our tree on display.

Since September, residents made over one hundred pompom sheep for our tree; the theme was ‘while shepherds watched their flocks by night.’

A few sheep were sitting beneath the tree, two of which had lost an eye each, so a competition was created for the local children coming in for the afternoon story time to see if they could find the two one eyed sheep!

Residents enjoyed homemade tea and mince pies as they viewed the trees and were delighted to hear from several people that they thought our tree was the best one out of them all!
