World Music Day

The sun was shining, and the garden was the perfect setting for karaoke.

We started off with a warm welcome and a prayer to celebrate ‘World Music Day’. We had a lovely sing along, the speakers were playing the music and the residents sang along to ‘It’s a Long Way To Tipperary’, ‘Fly Me To the Moon’ and some other favourite tunes which our residents enjoyed. With some encouragement we invited them to clap along and the staff assisted the residents to sing a solo, whilst others wanted to sing together whilst enjoying the sunshine and friendships.

It was lovely that the residents had the courage to sing and shared their love for music and how wonderful music is to bring people together.
