Canford Chase Raises £1.1k for Food Bank

Canford Chase recently hosted a special afternoon to present a cheque to Jimmy’s Food Bank, recognising the home’s fundraising efforts throughout 2025.

Residents and staff welcomed representatives from the charity to share in the occasion, enjoying tea and refreshments while reflecting on the year’s activities.

Over the year, Canford Chase raised a total of £1,152.01 through summer and Christmas fayres, bake sales, charity BBQs, and raffles.

In addition to financial support, the home organised visits to assist with the delivery of store cupboard items and craft supplies. During school holidays, Canford Chase also provided lunch boxes to help families and older members of the community who rely on meal providers outside of term time.

The team at Jimmy’s Food Bank shared details of their upcoming cookery classes, designed to bring practical skills and learning opportunities to those who access their services. The event highlighted the ongoing partnership between Canford Chase and the local charity, demonstrating how community collaboration can make a meaningful difference.
