Paper Plane Challenge

Paper Plane Challenge

One wet afternoon a discussion came about, we discussed past games and things residents did as children, many played hide and seek or hopscotch, but one past time that came up was paper planes. Many remembered how to make them and flying them in the garden or the school playground. With this in mind the ‘Paper Plane Challenge’ was born. We all had fun making and flying paper planes in the garden, the ‘Concorde’ paper plane flew the furthest. We had many styles of paper planes, and we had some specifications for them to meet, we judged on the ‘longest flight’ and, the furthest distance. The longest flight was 29.2 seconds with the longest distance covered 226 feet & 10 inches. It was wonderful to see the residents, families and staff enjoying the afternoon.
