Baking, Memories and Biscoff Cake

In Baking Club today, residents rolled up their sleeves and whisked together a delicious Biscoff chocolate cake.

As the ingredients came together, so did the stories, memories of favourite family recipes and baking with grandchildren filled the room.

We were also joined by our young volunteer, Rowan, whose enthusiasm and knowledge of baking added something extra to the session.

But this activity wasn’t just about making a cake, it was a celebration of shared stories, intergenerational connection, and the simple joy of baking together. The afternoon ended with plenty of smiles, cups of tea, and generous helpings of Biscoff chocolate cake.
