A Day at Longleat

8 June 2026

Residents enjoyed a sunny day out at Longleat Safari Park, spending time exploring the park’s animals and attractions. The visit began in the farmyard, where residents met the chickens and reindeer and learned more about the different species living at the park. One of the highlights was spotting a young joey making its first appearance outside its mother’s pouch.

After a stop for ice cream, the group continued through the safari, keeping watch for lions, tigers, giraffes, oxen and camels along the route. The monkeys proved particularly entertaining, climbing around the vehicles and peering through windows and skylights as the minibus made its way through their enclosure. It was a day filled with wildlife, conversation and plenty to see along the way.
