Butterfly Cake Memories
On a beautiful warm day with a gentle breeze, we decided to do our baking in the dining room, where we could enjoy the view of our lovely garden.
Our talented chefs kindly offered their assistance as we gathered all the ingredients to make some delicious butterfly cakes.
We began by carefully weighing out all the necessary ingredients, which included 150 grams of caster sugar, flour, and butter. We also needed three large eggs for the recipe. One of our new care team members, Swatty, joined us and lent a hand in making the cakes.
Each person took turns weighing the ingredients and shared stories of their own favourite recipes. Edna fondly remembered her Victoria sponge cake, filled with strawberry jam and cream, which she used to enjoy making. It was the perfect treat for a summer’s day.
