Carnival Raises Funds for Helpful Hounds

Residents enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of carnival games in the garden, making the most of the warm sunshine while raising money for a cause close to everyone’s hearts.

There was something for everyone to enjoy, from Lucky Punch cups filled with surprise prizes and the ever-popular Tin Can Alley to the biggest attraction of the day – soaking the Companions in the stocks! The laughter and friendly competition created a wonderful atmosphere as residents and staff joined in the fun together.

The special guest of the afternoon was Roma, the therapy dog from Helpful Hounds, accompanied by handler Sarah. Roma, who visits the home each month, delighted residents with plenty of cuddles before stealing the show by making off with the soaking sponges.

Thanks to the generosity of residents, families and staff, the event raised an impressive £153 for Helpful Hounds, helping the charity continue providing visits that bring comfort, companionship and smiles to residents.
