Coke is great from a can.
This morning in the lounge our residents decided to do a quiz to wake themselves up.
I always like to use the website quiz wise as when you answer the question you get a brief information on the topic/s. As we progressed answering wonderful questions one of them was In 1886, John Pemberton claimed that a certain concoction cured diseases, headaches and pain relief- Which was it? Giving you four options – Whisky, Aspirin, Seven up or Coca Cola. The answer was Coca Cola, and this made our residents want to find out more about its origins. So John Pemberton on May 8th 1886 made Coca Cola in his back yard using a kettle, a friend added Bicarbonate water by mistake and they decided to drink it to find out what it was like and voila, Coca Cola was born. I ask if our residents would like to try some. The outcome was mixed emotions Barbara said it wasn’t as fizzy as she remembered, and Peter said that it hasn’t aged well. They drank there drinks together. CHEERS!
