Garden Harvest

Today, we spent time in the garden tending the fruits and vegetables.

Cynthia helped to water and weed the vegetable gardens and as we worked, she shared memories of her own garden and spoke of visiting the local farmers markets and buying fresh whenever possible.

Chef Jose helped to harvest the figs which were ripe and ready. Jose will be making a fig chutney to accompany dishes at the home.

We are looking forward to picking the tomatoes next!
