Mad Hatters Tea Party

During National Picnic Week, we had hoped to use the garden for a Mad Hatter themed afternoon tea but sadly the rain arrived.

We didn’t let this dampen our spirits and held the party inside instead. The dining room was transformed in a flurry to a wonderland of fun. We were all Mad Hatters for the event and enjoyed a selection of sandwiches, cakes, chocolate & fruit with tea & pink lemonade.

Early in the day we discussed Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland, and that it was originally known as Alice’s Adventures Underground.

There was much laughter and smiles all round.
