New Year Celebration

We had a wonderful afternoon filled with games laughter and drinks at the home.

Residents and staff came together to play games, sing and enjoy a toast to the soon arrival of 2023.  There were a selection of drinks to choose from. We had gin and tonic, baileys, soft drinks and sparkling fruit juice. A party is not complete with out a table of snacks too. First game of the afternoon was hit or miss. Everyone had a go at trying to roll two ping pong balls down a table and in to cups attached to the end of the table spaced out. Two cups were hit and two were miss. Next was reindeer hoopla. Companion Justin was today’s reindeer and residents took turns to throw the hoops over the antlers and win a prize. After a short break for tea and cake. The final game had to be pass the parcel which resulted in much laughter and smiles from all. Ted spoke of his memories of family parties and playing games similar to pass the parcel and dancing the conga.
