Our Visit to Abbotsbury Swannery

We recently went to the Abbotsbury Swannery to see the Swans in their natural habitat as this was a wish for one of our residents Hillary, here at Canford Chase.

We also got to meet her family there as this was also the part of the wish for Hillary. Hillary was thrilled to spend time with her family and the little great granddaughter who had come to see her Great Nan and the birds as well. It was lovely to see them all together looking at the Swans and Geese and we all got to see the public feeding the Swans which was a lovely sight to see. Hillary’s daughter told us about how Abbotsbury Swannery was a very special place for her Mum and late Dad who often liked visiting the Swannery together and that it holds special memories for them and that it was lovely that it was arranged, and it brought great happiness and joy to the family.
