Tie Dye T-Shirts
We were transported back to the 60’s/70’s when we made our own tie dye t-shirts.
We gathered all of our supplies together and headed to the dining room as it was raining outside. When choosing the designs and colours, the ladies spoke of their favourite colours. We had purple, blue and green as the popular colours to be used. Folding of the t-shirts was tricky when adding the elastic bands. As we added colour to each
t-shirt, we chatted about various fashion trends we had worn and whether we followed the trends. Many of the ladies made their own clothing and used fabric that was durable because fabric prices were high and not always readily available. Barbara always liked the look of mini skirts but generally choose a slightly longer length to wear. We had to wait 24 hours for the finished results and the t-shirts were a success with plans in place to now try other items and styles.
