Summer Barbecue

August started in full swing with a summer barbecue; we invited family and friends to join us for a tropical themed lunch.

The garden was decorated in tropical accents and lunch started with Pimm’s and lemonade or elder flower press.

Our chefs made a selection of fresh salads, coleslaw, chipolatas, burgers, chicken, stuffed peppers, and jacket potatoes. Pudding was coconut ice cream topped with seared pineapple, rum sauce, and a sprinkle of toasted coconut.

After lunch, we enjoyed music by the talented Bee Chumley.

Conversation flowed and everyone enjoyed a wonderful afternoon in the sun. Plus, we raised £160.10 for Jimmy’s Food Bank and some donations which we will take along to see them.
