White chocolate and orange cake

A few of the ladies made a beautiful white chocolate and orange cake.

We spent the afternoon baking and chatting as we went. We blended ingredients, grated the zest off the oranges and tried to not eat all the chocolate. We spoke of Christmas foods everyone had made and their favourite items to make or bake. Edna’s favourite item to make for Christmas was her Christmas cake and the tradition of lighting the Christmas pudding on Christmas day with her family. Pat enjoys spiced and fruit items at Christmas and gingerbread men with a hot drink. Peggy spoke of adding spice to the chocolate and orange cake to make winter addition. We finished our afternoon with a coffee, biscuits and chatted about various recipes they have tried.
