We have commissioned a number of films but two in particular feature residents, relatives and team members talking about their experiences of care homes. Made with input from fellow care experts at Age Concern, Bournemouth University and the Alzheimer’s Society, the films look at the role of a care home from different points of view. The aim is to provide balanced, impartial information for community groups and individuals.
Under discussion are many of the issues that are important when choosing a home from the initial response to an enquiry through to the daily activities programmes, the quality of personal interaction, and standards of food and drink.
One film is about general care while the other focuses specifically on dementia care. Both may be viewed on our YouTube channel
