Curtain up at Castle View: drama students hit all the right notes

Residents at Castle View were treated to an uplifting afternoon of music and dance on Wednesday as students from the Thomas Hardye Drama Group paid a special visit.

The group, made up of around a dozen, delivered a lively and engaging performance featuring well-loved songs from popular musicals, complete with vibrant choreography. Their energy filled the room, bringing wide smiles and applause from the audience.

Beyond the stage, it was the personal connections that made the visit particularly special. Following the performance, students spent time chatting one-on-one with residents, exchanging stories and laughter. These conversations are deeply valued, offering meaningful moments of intergenerational connection.

“We always look forward to the visits from the Thomas Hardye Drama Group,” said a Castle View Companionship Team Leader, Hayley Legg. “Their enthusiasm is infectious, and the time they spend with our residents makes a real difference.”

Castle View has built a strong relationship with the school over time, with the group now visiting on a quarterly basis. Each visit brings something new, and the positive impact on residents is clear to see.
