A Wonderful Visit from Barney the Donkey

Castle View had the privilege of welcoming Barney the donkey and his handler Crystal from Kelly’s Donkeys into the Home

During his visit he saw residents and some family members in the main areas as well as touring around the whole home and seeing individuals in their rooms. Both residents and staff were captured by Barney’s placid, patient, and gentle nature as well as his cuddly thick winter coat and the soft fur on his gorgeous ears. Many amusing moments were captured when Barney arrived. So many ‘shocked smiles’ appeared on faces as he was a ‘real’ donkey it was fantastic to witness.  One of the best quotes was when a resident was asked if she wanted to tickle Barney to which she responded, “when’s he going to tickle me?”
