Bringing Our Scarecrow to Life

Our resident artist, Mary, volunteered to paint showstopping scarecrow’s face. 

Mary is a keen painter has been with working with paints for 90 years. As she steadied her hand and got to work, she told us about how she loves to use water colours and would often take her sketch pad to draw landscapes and sea views when on family holidays. Her husband, Dennis, would sit and listen to his radio whilst she painted. 

Our scarecrow will take pride of place in our produce show entry. We can’t wait to see how it all comes together!
