Casterbridge Choir Spreads Festive Cheer

18 December 2024

This evening, we were lucky enough to have the Casterbridge Male Voice Choir come and sing Christmas carols for the residents.

The Choir is based in Dorchester and is now in its 81st year. The choir was originally formed in 1942 by a group of Air Raid Wardens during their off-duty hours and are dedicated to preserving the tradition of male voices singing in Dorset. In addition, it serves the community by holding fundraising concerts for local and national charities.

The residents thoroughly enjoyed the evening of music and camaraderie. Events like this are a wonderful way to bring the community together. We are truly grateful to the Casterbridge Male Voice Choir for sharing their time and talents with us. Their efforts continue to make a positive impact on the lives of many people across the county.
