Diwali Lantern Making

Diwali, or Deepavali is India’s biggest and most important holiday of the year.

The festival gets its name from the row (avail) of clay lamps called a deepa that Indians light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness. As you can see, our residents enjoyed making their lamps and decorating them with staff, this activity brought out everyone’s creative side.
