Our natural Christmas tree

During the morning craft session Esme and Cynthia got busy making apple feeders for the birds to hang on our natural Christmas tree. 

This year we used dried Alliums & Hydrangeas from previous season, pinecones, and orange hip.  Resident Esme reminisced about a visiting black bird who frequented her home garden everyday where apples hung on the trees.  He would eat the contents of the apple depositing the skin on the backdoor step ready for the next one.  Nina returning from a walk happily placed them on the tree to complete our wonderful display.
