Court Lodge Raises £2.7k for Charity

Court Lodge Care Home hosted a special cheque presentation this morning to mark the conclusion of its fundraising efforts for Honeypot, the home’s chosen charity for 2025. Honeypot provides vital support to children across the country, helping them enjoy their childhood after caring for a loved one.
Over the past year, residents and staff enthusiastically participated in a wide range of fundraising activities. Highlights included a summer fête with stalls, hot dog sales, tombolas, and raffles, festive Christmas galas and fairs, a “Guess the Weight of the Giant Bee” competition, and an Easter afternoon tea with an egg hunt around the garden. Collectively, these efforts raised an impressive £2,732.50.
The cheque presentation offered residents the opportunity to celebrate their achievements and reflect on the positive impact their fundraising will have on children supported by Honeypot. The charity also maintained close contact throughout the year, making visits to the home and engaging with residents directly.
Companionship Team Leader Julia said, “It has been an absolute pleasure to support Honeypot. Our residents are incredibly proud to have raised such a meaningful amount for a charity that makes a real difference to children’s lives.”
Residents shared their excitement and satisfaction, with Anne adding, “Visiting Honeypot House last year allowed me to see first-hand how the charity supports children. I’m so pleased with the total we’ve raised and the difference it will make.”
The presentation marked a joyful conclusion to a year of community, teamwork, and generosity, leaving residents with a lasting sense of pride in their achievements.
