Birthday Outing Delights Residents

Residents at Court Lodge recently marked Vi’s 94th birthday with a delightful visit to Roly’s Fudge Pantry. The group was warmly welcomed and spent the afternoon exploring the wide range of fudge flavours, sampling several along the way.

Fudge is one of Vi’s favourite treats, and she particularly enjoyed tasting rum and raisin, chocolate mint, Baileys, clotted cream and vanilla, and maple syrup and pecan.

Her top picks were rum and raisin and chocolate mint, both of which were purchased to take home.

While at the shop, residents also observed the fudge-making process. The shop assistant demonstrated how ingredients are mixed and cut into fresh pieces, giving Vi the chance to see one of her favourite sweets being created.

Companion Team Leader Julia said: “It was wonderful to see Vi so happy and engaged throughout the visit. Celebrating her birthday with a trip she truly enjoyed made it a very special day for everyone involved.”

The outing was the highlight of a two-day birthday celebration, which included a lovely birthday cake shared with fellow residents the day before. The experience offered a joyful and interactive way to celebrate, leaving Vi thoroughly delighted.
