Court Lodge Welcomes Spring Lamb Visit

8 April 2026

Residents, staff and visiting families at Court Lodge came together on Easter Sunday for a relaxed celebration held in the home’s gardens.

The outdoor setting provided a fitting backdrop for the afternoon, with warm weather and a calm, sociable atmosphere as residents gathered to enjoy time together.

A highlight of the day was a visit from two young spring lambs, Barney and Bambam, who are just over four weeks old. Full of energy, they explored the garden, running and playfully interacting with one another, drawing smiles and conversation from those watching.

Residents had the opportunity to spend time up close with the lambs, with many enjoying gentle cuddles and taking part in bottle feeding. The experience encouraged shared stories and created moments of connection between residents, staff and visiting families.

Companion Team Leader Julia said: “It was a lovely afternoon seeing residents, families and staff all coming together. The lambs brought something very special to the day, and it created a real sense of shared enjoyment.”

Resident Linda, who attended with her husband Ian, said: “What a great way to spend Easter Sunday. We had so much fun feeding them and watching them chase each other—it was fantastic.”

The afternoon concluded with a traditional Easter tea, bringing the celebration to a close in a relaxed and familiar setting. The event reflected the importance of shared experiences at Court Lodge, where seasonal occasions are marked with warmth, connection and time spent together.
