Court Lodge BBQ Brings Community Together

Residents at Court Lodge welcomed families, friends and neighbours for a summer BBQ that celebrated good food, live music and the strong sense of community at the home.
Held in the sunshine, the event brought together people of all ages to enjoy a relaxed afternoon in the garden, with residents delighted to welcome visitors from neighbouring cottages alongside relatives and friends.

Guests tucked into a traditional barbecue featuring chicken drumsticks, sausages, hot dogs, pork and a selection of fresh salads, giving everyone plenty of choice as they dined together outdoors.
Music provided the soundtrack to the afternoon, with a mix of well-loved songs from across the decades encouraging residents and guests to sing along, tap their feet and share memories inspired by familiar favourites.
The event also provided an opportunity to strengthen connections with the local community, as neighbours spent time chatting with residents and joining in the celebrations.

Companion Team Leader Julia said: “It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the afternoon together. Events like our summer BBQ are a lovely way to bring residents, families and the local community together, and there was such a warm, friendly atmosphere throughout the day.”
The summer BBQ reflects Court Lodge’s commitment to creating opportunities for residents to enjoy meaningful social occasions, welcoming the wider community into the home and celebrating the friendships that flourish there.
