Court Lodge Enjoys Summer Ice Cream Afternoon

Residents at Court Lodge made the most of one of the warmest days of the year with a visit from a traditional ice cream bike, bringing together residents, families and staff for a relaxed afternoon in the sunshine.
The bike, supplied by local company Brock Ice, served a selection of New Forest Ice Cream, giving everyone plenty of choice as they gathered in the garden.

Home Manager Rebecca provided a light-hearted moment on arrival, joking that bringing an ice cream bike into a garden full of residents on such a hot day may not have been her wisest decision, as a queue quickly formed for a cooling treat.
The afternoon provided another opportunity for residents and their loved ones to spend time together outdoors, enjoying conversation and making the most of the summer weather.
Resident Sue said: “It was such a lovely experience… can I ride off with it?”

Companion Team Leader Julia said: “It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the sunshine together. Simple moments like these encourage people to spend time outdoors, socialise with family and friends, and enjoy the sense of community that is so important to life at Court Lodge.”
Court Lodge regularly organises seasonal events and activities that encourage residents to stay active, spend time with loved ones and enjoy opportunities to connect with the wider home community.
