Flowers, Paint and Frank Sinatra

At Court Lodge, a change in the weather led to a change of plan.

With rain putting a stop to patio painting, residents moved indoors for an afternoon of floral still life painting instead.

Vases of colourful blooms were arranged around the room, and residents took their time studying the shapes and colours before putting brush to paper. Each painting developed in its own way as the afternoon unfolded, with plenty of quiet concentration and occasional conversation between strokes.

The familiar voice of Frank Sinatra played in the background, adding an easy rhythm to a calm and creative afternoon indoors.
