Allotment Visit
The allotment is a wonderful place for nature lovers and people who enjoy gardening.
Shared with the Ferndown Dementia Friendly Community, our residents grow a variety of beautiful flowers, tasty vegetables, and delicious fruits. It’s amazing to see the results of their hard work and dedication as the garden thrives.
As we walked along the neat paths, one of our residents named Dorothy admired the creativity and skill shown in each garden. She had conversations with Diana and Sarah, where they happily shared stories and helpful gardening tips. The allotment has become more than just a place with plants—it has become a gathering spot for the community, where everyone comes together.
The residents take great pride in their accomplishments, seeing their plants grow and produce. It’s a joyful experience to witness the fruits of their labour. The allotment provides a sense of connection, friendship, and a shared love for nature and gardening. It’s a place where people can come together, enjoy each other’s company, and appreciate the beauty and bounty of the garden.
