Celebrating Father’s Day at Fernhill
At Fernhill, we celebrated Father’s Day with an afternoon party filled with snacks, nibbles, cupcakes, and beers.
Our residents came together to honour the fathers in their lives, sharing stories and reminiscing about their fondest memories. Ron shared heart-warming stories of his father, a loving and caring man who was a painter. His father’s artistic talent and gentle nature left a lasting impression on Ron, who spoke of him with great affection.
Robert remembered his father William, who worked at the railway station. Described as a fair and firm man, William was always supportive of Robert. The stories Robert shared highlighted the strong bond they had, and the life lessons his father imparted. George was visited by his sons, Martin, and Steve, who joined our celebration. From them, we learned a bit about George’s father, Cyril. Their presence added a special touch to the event, as they shared stories that painted a vivid picture of Cyril’s life and character.
The afternoon was a delightful experience for our residents, filled with laughter, nostalgia, and heartfelt memories. It was a day dedicated not only to honouring their fathers but also to celebrating their own journeys as fathers.
The stories and memories shared during the event brought everyone closer, making it a truly memorable Father’s Day.
