Pancake Day

On Shrove Tuesday, Fernhill residents had fun flipping pancakes – seeing who could get the most flips and tasting various toppings. 

The firm favourite topping with most residents was the traditional lemon and sugar, with others trying honey, strawberries, and chocolate. 

Resident Kiki commented: “I absolutely love pancake day! It takes me back to my childhood when my mother used to make us all pancakes and we’d all wait in turn for ours, hoping the batter would stretch to another one.” 

With the help of Companion Miezy, Richard tried to beat Kiki’s four flip record but got the giggles too much to concentrate and decided eating them was better!
