Horse Therapy Session

18 July 2023

During our morning horse therapy session, we chopped vegetables into cubes to feed Tia and Jodi, our lovely horses.

Andrea, our horse handler, assisted the residents in interacting with the horses. We discovered that the horses preferred carrots and juicy apples over cauliflower peels and courgette.

All the residents were given the opportunity to approach the horses closely and establish a connection with them. It was a wonderful experience to see our residents building relationships with Tia, Jodi, and their owner Sue. The therapeutic benefits of horse-assisted activities were clearly evident, as we witnessed the smiles on their faces while they interacted with the horses.

It was truly heart-warming to see the joy and happiness they experienced during the session.
