Making An Apple Crumble!

Our resident Ann eagerly joined a small group at the dining room table for a delightful baking activity, something she particularly enjoys.

As we began, the first order of business was ensuring everyone washed their hands before handling the ingredients.

Once ready, we gathered all the necessary elements into a mixing bowl, prompting Ann to exclaim, “This is how my nan used to do it!”

The flour and butter smoothly blended, followed by the addition of cinnamon and sugar.

June joined in, taking a seat next to Ann and expressing her eagerness to assist. Together, they rolled up their sleeves and mixed in the ingredients, creating a delicious crumble. Once everything was incorporated, the Apple Crumble was placed in the oven, filling the home with a delightful aroma of baking.

Throughout the baking process, Ann, with the assistance of a companion, periodically checked on the crumble’s progress in the oven. The next day, we all enjoyed some delicious apple crumble with a generous dollop of cream.
