Nora’s Wish

During a chat with one of our carers, Mel, resident Nora fondly recalled how much she used to enjoy visiting her local bakery. 

Mel had a wonderful idea: why not visit the new Greggs Bakery that has just opened next door to our home? 

When we shared the plan with Nora, she was thrilled! The Greggs team were informed ahead of time and went above and beyond to make the experience special. 

Manager Kim kindly reserved tables for us and warmly welcomed Nora, along with fellow residents Iris and Robert. The team explained to Nora how all their bread and pastries are baked fresh daily in-store. 

As she admired the mouth-watering display of goods, we offered her a sausage roll… but with a twinkle in her eye, Nora said, “No, thank you, I’d love a nice sticky doughnut!”
