Pelhams Bowling Green

Our residents and companionship team from Fernhill were invited to Pelhams Bowling Green to participate in a fundraising event.

We were also joined by residents and the team from one of our sister homes, The Aldbury. This lovely afternoon was organised by Emma Regan, the Community Engagement and Development Manager of the Douch Family Funeral Directors in Wimborne.

Douch organises many community groups in our area, which we have attended in the past, especially the tea dances!

Our resident Kiki really enjoyed the games of outdoor bowls and skittles. She even said, “I would love to become a member!” as she used to play years ago. After we finished playing bowls, we were invited indoors to a beautiful afternoon tea. Our resident June said, “This was very good, I enjoyed the delicious food, especially the scones with jam and cream!” “I was thrilled to be invited today!” exclaimed Kiki.

We said a big thank you to everyone involved in this event. We had such a lovely afternoon!
