Sandwiches and Sunshine

Fulfilling one resident’s wish for a day filled with food, friendship, and fun. 

On a bright sunny morning, we took Dorothy on a trip to Poole to fulfil her wish to visit Subway to enjoy one of their fabulous sandwiches with some of her friends from Fernhill.

Residents and companions alike were excited to pick their favourite combination of flavours. When Dorothy stepped up to order, she asked for four coffees, a cookie, and a footlong steak sandwich.

Dorothy reminisced as we gathered around the table – sipping our coffees and taking a bite of our sandwiches. The morning passed with laughter and warm conversation. As we all boarded the minibus for home, Dorothy said that she felt content and grateful – for both her old memories and the new ones that she’d made with friends that day.
