Toasting the Haggis
Wednesday 25th January saw residents and staff toasting the Haggis.
Chef Adam Juhoor walked from the kitchen carrying the haggis, with bagpipes playing, followed by companions Kate and Ann Marie. We finished in Hazel home group where residents Elizabeth and Doris were the first to taste it. Elizabeth is Scottish and Doris had grandparents from Scotland. They both said the Haggis was very tasty. Later each home group then also had a taster with their lunch. The day was centred around Robert Burns with poetry and music and later in the day, a wee dram of Scottish whisky was offered at the Sunset club.
