VE Day Reminisce

Fernhill residents were delighted to be visited by special guests to reminisce about VE Day Celebrations they experienced as children. 

We were joined by Ferndown’s Mayor, Cllr Cordery and The British Legion’s Chair, Mr England. They shook hands with everyone and enjoyed chatting over tea and coffee. Edie even got to wear the mayor’s medal! 

This was a lovely way to start Fernhill’s 80th VE Day week-long celebrations. 

We’ll be enjoying a visit from Retro Rita tomorrow afternoon for our garden party, our special afternoon tea in the home next week, and the invitation to Ferndown’s VE Day parade.
