As part of our passion for gardening, we invited all Gardeners, Activity Organisers and especially Residents to enter our Garden Photography Competition.
All Activity Organiser’s keep a camera to record events, and in January 2015 we briefed our Gardeners and Activity Organisers to work closely together, and to involve interested residents to build a photographic record of the flora and fauna in all of our beautiful gardens. The home that submitted the best photos would win £100 voucher for residents to spend at a local garden centre, and the runner up £50.
With the competition ending in December 2015, we have been able to capture our gardens throughout our wonderful British seasons. Our warmest thanks goes to all those who took part, enabling us to, in alphabetical order, proudly display (can you believe 'amateur') photos in the gallery below by home. Can you guess who the winner was (keep scrolling to the end to find out)?
Head Gardener, Charles Hubberstey said "The Aldbury won because of their delightful photos that truly caught the fauna and flora of the gardens. A tiny robin in the gardener’s hand, the slow worm coming out of the compost heap, another robin at home in the potting shed, all accompanied by genuine words of those who took the photos."
Below are a few other photos provided by The Aldbury, showing the variety within the garden - plus their commitment to winning the competition!
