Mollie’s Music Raises Funds for Local Church Roof

22 September 2025

A resident at Kingfishers Care Home in New Milton has turned her love of music into a successful community fundraiser.

Inspired by her passion for the piano, Mollie recorded and sold her own CD with support from housekeeping team member Madi. To boost the effort, Kingfishers hosted a Mexican-themed garden barbecue.

In total, more than £200 has been raised for the New Milton Baptist Church roof fund.

Mollie personally handed a cheque for the amount to Tim Siggs, a representative of the church, who thanked her and everyone at Kingfishers for their generosity.

“Well done, Mollie, for leading this inspiring initiative and showing how music and community spirit can come together for a great cause!” said Rose, Companionship Team Leader at Kingfishers.

The fundraiser has been described as a shining example of how residents can use their talents to make a difference in their local community.
