Kingfishers Raises £4.5k for Local Charities

Kingfishers Care Home proudly hosted a special cheque presentation to recognise the home’s outstanding fundraising efforts.
A grand total of £4,730.08 was raised and split evenly between two chosen charities: Elsie’s Rose, which supports families whose children are receiving end-of-life care, and Hampshire Search and Rescue, who play a vital role in locating vulnerable people across the county.
Special recognition went to team member Sarah, who inspired everyone by raising a significant contribution for both charities through her participation in the Snowdon 6 Challenge.
The team also thanked resident Mollie for her hard work organising charity raffles and supporting fundraising initiatives throughout the year.
To mark the occasion, residents and staff enjoyed live music from Talisa Chalcraft, who performed classic 1950s songs, prompting many to join in on the dance floor.
Jack, one of the residents, summed up the day perfectly: “That was a brilliant afternoon and great efforts from all of us.”
