Hedla is our Resident of the day and her wish is to roam around the garden to get to know the main features that can be found in our own beautiful garden. While exploring she found this big tomato tree located in our vegetable garden. This tomato tree is called 'Tamarillo Tree Tomato Plant' also known as New Zealand Tree Tomato Plant. It produces ruby red egg shaped fruits in late autumn and winter. Very versatile, perennial in habit. Supplied as pot grown plant approximately 8" (20cm) tall. While this originated from South America, it is in New Zealand where this has become a really popular crop. Hedla commented, "I'm so impressed! Our gardener worked so hard."
