Armed Forces Day at Our Sister Home

Today, we had a special invitation from our sister home in Brockenhurst, Woodpeckers, to celebrate Armed Forces Day.

The guests from the military arrived in their uniforms, proudly displaying their medals. It was a nostalgic experience for our residents as they got to see an RAF Jeep and a collection of military equipment and memorabilia.

One of our residents, June, expressed her delight, saying, “What a wonderful afternoon, filled with cherished wartime memories! Thank you, Woodpeckers, for inviting us.”

It was a lovely event that brought back memories and allowed us to honour and appreciate the brave men and women who served in the armed forces. We are grateful for the opportunity to share in this special occasion with our sister home.
