Church Coffee Morning
Today, our companionship team had the pleasure of accompanying Joan, Val, Sue, Terry, and David to a coffee morning at St. Mary Magdalene Church in New Milton.
Our care home manager, Zoe, and customer service advisor, Tracy, also joined us, which was a wonderful experience for our residents.
We were warmly welcomed with smiles and shown to a table reserved just for us. The lovely ladies hosting the event had prepared some delicious home-baked cakes and hot drinks, which we all enjoyed. Afterward, we took a stroll around the church community centre and introduced ourselves to the other attendees. Terry struck up a lovely conversation with a lady selling beautiful cards, and they shared a few foreign sayings. Joan and Christina made friends with a gorgeous rescue dog, who was happy to receive cuddles from them both. Sue and David also loved meeting new people, and everyone was so friendly.
It was a fantastic morning for everyone, and Terry even remarked that he wished we could do this every week. We want to extend our thanks to St. Mary Magdalene’s Church for making us all feel so at home. We hope to visit you again soon!
