Coronation Celebrations
Today, we celebrated a momentous occasion at Kingfishers: the Coronation of King Charles III.
On entering our home on Saturday, you were greeted by royal bunting, stunning coronation displays, including a crown flower arrangement crafted by our residents, and an air filled with excitement.
Each floor of our home was adorned with royal bunting and beautiful accessories to create a fitting ambiance. Our residents gathered in the lounges, holding hands and waving flags, as they watched the ceremony together. The atmosphere was truly wonderful.
Lunch was a truly special affair. Our catering team had transformed the dining room into a jubilant scene. Our head chef had created a magnificently iced coronation cake, adorned with corgis and flags. The tables were adorned with white, red, and blue decorations and exquisite flowers. A tea set featuring King Charles was proudly on display.
Each resident received a golden crown to wear, adding to the festive spirit. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the specially curated buffet menu, which included the delectable Royal quiche. We raised a toast to our new King with Pimms, red and white wine.
In the afternoon, the celebration continued with live music performed by Talisa. Her enchanting melodies had us swaying, singing, and dancing. The atmosphere was simply magical, and not a single seat remained unoccupied. Families also joined us during lunch and our musical afternoon, making it a truly unforgettable day for all. Long live the King!
