Crafting Lavender Bags

Our residents have been busy again making use of the garden produce.

Today, a group of our residents met in the Activity Room to join forces making lavender bags.

Having harvested and dried some of the lavender from the scented walkway, the residents stripped all the flowers away from the stems. We pillaged the scrap fabric box for remnants to make small bags which we stitched using the sewing machine. The residents were then able to fill the bags with the lavender and choose pretty ribbon to tie them up with.

It was a very relaxed afternoon with the smell of lavender filling the room!
