Hythe Boat Trip

Today, we embarked on an all-day boat trip to Hythe Marina. Our first stop was Calshot Beach, where we enjoyed a delicious picnic in the sun.

Alan and his companion Christina even indulged in ice cream by the sea. We then drove to Hythe Marina, where we boarded the Alison McGregor boat. The crew welcomed us with friendly smiles, and we took our seats.

Our journey took us past cruise ships, large container ships, and the Red Funnel hovercraft. During our sail, Alan steered the boat for about 20 minutes with the help of skipper Alan.

Alan said, “Steering the boat brought back happy memories of when I used to go sailing with my wife Rosemary.” The highlight of our trip was when skipper Alan sailed into the Ocean Village Marina in Southampton. We saw amazing yachts and dreamed about which one we would choose if we could.

We all had a wonderful day at sea. Ships ahoy!
